Dreams In Life. ( How Do You Get One)?
87This girl is following her dream
You have to have a dream
It is my dream to become financially independent and then teach people to do the same. What an awesome place this world would be if everybody knew how to do this.
I keep hearing about the 95% / 5% of people. The 5% hold all the wealth, while the rest (95%) struggle on living everyday in mediocrity. Then I hear that we all have the choice to decide which group we want to be in and can change our lives accordingly.
I believe that this statement is true but the everyday person needs to find the vehicle that can propel them into this 95% bracket.
The opportunities are there, but, do you know what? I believe that most of us go around about our business never knowing that opportunities are looking for us.
The problem is we do not recognise this and never reach our full potential due to it. For many the opportunities are recognised but the individual then does not have the courage of his convictions to follow the opportunity for whatever reason.
Gut Feeling.
When was the last time you had a strange feeling that something was guiding you, almost telling you to do a certain thing or take a different route to somewhere.? Did you ignore it or did you follow your gut feeling? This is what I am talking about when I say that opportunities are there, but we need to recognise them. If you do not allow yourself to follow these gut feelings you may never get where you want to go.
Keep On Keeping On...........
Is what we all have to do. If the dream is big enough our sub-conscious mind will find ways for us to achieve that goal. Our mind and brains are the most sophisticated computers. As I have said before we need to recognise opportunities as they presesnt themselves. Not easy I know in this fast paced madness that we all seem to live in.
How Do You Get The Dream and Keep It Alive?
Getting or finding it is probably for some, a very difficult thing to do or even admit to. We all have things we want to do or achieve at some point in our lives. We have an in built mechanism that pushes us on to do things and achieve, however small a task this may be. Now, I am not going to go into loads of technical jargon about how or what you have to do to get a dream. This is something that you have to do for yourself. Only you know what you want in life and where you want to go. One thing I will say is, be very very careful who you tell about your dreams or aspirations. For some reason there are people who may like you and consider you a friend, but if you tell them what you want in your life for you to get ahead, they may view this as them being left behind and could actually rubbish your dream or snigger at it. They may even tell you that it is not achievable purely because they may get left behind.Nobody ever wants you to get ahead of them.
Choose carefully who you associate with. Only associate with like minded people who have similar views and aspirations to yourself.
Keeping the dream alive is a very difficult thing to do. I say this because we are being bombarded on a daily basis by all manner of things, work, family pressures, finances, illness to mention a few. Where is the time for you to work on yourself going to come from. Again that is something for you to address but you will need time to put effort into fulfilling your aspirations in order for you to get into that 5% bracket. There is plenty of room at the top so work out a plan and then work your plan. The vehicle for doing this is whatever you choose to do. You know what it takes. Do you have the strength of character to pull it off....I think we all have. FOCUS is what is needed. FOCUS on the objective and go for it.
As I say at the beginning of this article I want financial independence and I am working on that plan now. As you read this article you are helping me toward that goal. For me, I see writing articles on the internet as part of the plan to get me there. When I achieve what I set out, then I will begin teaching others to do the same. I will do this by giving a detailed plan of action for everyday people to follow. This I hope will be the contribution I need to provide to the wider community. In recent times I have reviewed many different business models and bought all manner of books and e-books none of which have ever backed up what they say will work. It seems that you never get the full story and that some important information or key to success is missing just to keep you buying what the leaders in these organisations are selling. My plan is to give the knowledge to people for free for the good of my fellow man as it were.
When will I do all this.? Good question but I am working towards it as I write this. You may have heard about residual income. It is like when an author writes a book and has it published. The author may get a retainer for writing the book. They will also get royalty payments for the life of the book for however long it is on sale and while ever it is re-printed. In essence it means that the author does the work once but then keeps on getting paid over and over again. That is what I call working smart. In conventional work and business we have to keep turning up in order to get paid. With residual income you keep getting paid after you have put the work in. Simple isn't it?
Writing on the internet will do just that. With all the information there is in cyberspace there is some thing for everyone. The Hub Pages package I believe, is one of the strongest but it requires commitment and effort from everyone who takes part.
Check out all the information there is within Hub Pages. There is plenty of information around the pages on residual income. My advice to you is to find someone who can help you. find someone who can talk the talk as well as walk the walk. Hopefully I will be one of those people in the not so distant future. I will keep going whatever it takes. The price,I think is worth paying in terms of the effort it takes because the prize at the end will be well worth it if only for the time it has taken to get there.

Our passions and our dreams can teach us so much about our life our goals and our purpose. We just have to learn to tap into them to change them from dreams and make them reality
Oh, to be a kid again, if we could all be a kid again for a day, because kids know how to dream without fear, fear of failure. As adults, we don't allow ourselves to dream because we are full of the what ifs, this is what holds back 95 percent of people from dreaming. The fear of what if I fail, or what if people laugh, or my favorite, what will people think?
The one quality successful people have that most people don't is a clear vision of what they want, and it's not always money. Look at Steve Jobs for instance, he had a vision, a passion, and it had
very little to do with money, he wanted to change the world, he never quit even after he was fired. People laughed at him but he pushed on.
Knowing what you want in life IS the battle, getting it is the easy part in my opinion. If you know what it is that you want, you will spend every possible waking hour working on your dream, if you
are passionate about your dream, it will manifest itself right before your eyes right after you spend
countless hours and years of sleepless nights working towards you dream. It sounds intimidating
but you are doing what you love to do, it's your dream.
Dreams can come true, it can happen to you if you're young at heart..I believe that.. Enjoyed your hub..Thank you...
I guess basically what it boils down to is to set ourselves some realistic goals keep them in mind and slowly but surely head toward them checking off each step we have completed and never, never, give up till we have accomplished what we set out to do and yes getting some professional advice along the way is just a push in the right direction.
I believe setting goals and having dreams are so important, it's worked for me in the past and I still have goals.
Thank you for your advice and I wish you every success for yourself too. Best wishes MM
You'll get there poshcoffeeco. It may take some time. I too have certain goals that I seem to be leading my own way through. It's tough to do when you don't have direct contact with a mentor. But we'll find a way if we stay determined and focused. Don't allow negatives to get in your way.
Great hub, it is true that 95% are struggling. Your suggestions are awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I too am following this dream of writing. It won't be easy, but I am willing to pay the price now to enjoy the benefits later. Great hub to get a person thinking about what is important. And it is hard to figure out where you want to go.
Thanks for the advices and inspirations!
I found your article very interesting and yes most of us are struggling whilst a few hold the wealth and it is my dream to be financially independent, and I look forward to reading your next article, I voted up and useful.
I agree, in order to get what you want you must Know what it is, Acquire your target, focus on that target, then hit the target. Staying focused and on target is a big part of concurring dreams in my opinion. Managing the distractions that weaken our focus is key.
Your article has great inspiration!
Awesome article. I like the part about Residual Income. thanks for sharing
Really great hub, and good advice. I am currently working on manifesting a big dream, through seemingly impossible circumstances, but I have every faith in it happening soon. It is good to read about other people's experiences and dreams and know that I am no different. Voted up.

Poshcoffee: I seldom have dreams, atleast dreams that I remember anything about. But, I have had dreams about my personal future, and these dreams have come from God. One dream spelled out in detail about my job with the post office, another dealt in detail about my meeting and marrying my wife.
Don't know if that helps or not. God gave me dreams about my future for me personally just because I prayed.
