The Bank Job

Do you ever watch T.V shows and ever wonder why there are wall to wall beautiful people on the shows? Well I mean not your average Joe or Jane,no, I mean really good looking boys and girls.

A new show started over here this week called The Bank Job and is on for a week, every night at 10pm. So far there have been no ugly, overweight, balding, old people on it. There has been nobody over the age of 35 I reckon.Gosh do you know how irritating that is? Well if you have seen a picture of me you will understand what I mean. Although not balding or too old, it has been said that I could shed a few pounds after the New Year and Christmas excesses.

I say that I am just cuddly!

Does it make me want to watch it more?

You bet your cotton socks it does.

Is it a ploy by the TV company to get more viewers?

If it is, I am sure it has worked.

The Bank Job was on continuously for a week and every night the people on the show were all under thirty, I swear.Well I don't know how old they were do I? 30 / 35 what is the difference. They were younger than me!

Am I jealous...of course I am!

By now you will probably have stopped what you are doing and had a look at my profile pic just out of curiosity. What you didn't?

Hold the phone and before you do anything else I insist you take a good hard look at my ugly mush on the profile page of Mr Coffee Beans himself (thanks Cardisa), I mean poshcoffeeco, or is it Steve Mitchell. Well whoever he is. Good looking chap aren't I?

Okay enough of the posing in the shades.

Having said that it has appealed to all ages from kids to the elderly.

When you The Bank Job even the flippin audience is young, apart from the obviously proud, but scared looking parents. Scared I should think at watching their offspring be so potentially greedy that they could go home empty handed. And they did go home with zilch, nada, nothing. What a waste!

I should say that the contestants came from the game which was originally on the internet and the players were selected from this to play live on T.V.

And as you will see some of the players found it much harder playing live in front of millions to playing along in the comfort of their own homes.

The Bank Job is not just another game show.

This is not just another hyped up game show on prime time T.V. If you watch the programmes attached to this hub you will see what I mean.

Here is the link for Channel 4 OD and you will be able to see every episode and the twist in the story which happened on the last show

Okay I have said enough about the show so I am not to going to let you in on anymore of the plot. You will have to watch the hour long episodes for yourself.

I can guarantee you will be hooked as we all were at home.

I don't know about any other countries but in the UK the best new T.V programmes come out in the New Year. What you find out, though, is that the Networks put out all the best programmes one after the other. I ask you, why on earth don't they spread out the programming so that they can put in a few naff programmes in between the better ones. I don't want to sit down for a full evening when I get home from work and just gorge on all the best programmes in one night. I like to watch maybe one good programme and then go do something else. I bet you cannot even begin to guess what I do whilst everybody else at home is watching junk on T.V.? You guessed it, I write articles for you to read. That is correct I write them all just for your pleasure.

I believe in giving value for money. Nothing but the best for my customers...oooh sorry, followers.

The format of the show.

Very similar at times to an ITV 1 format of Golden Balls an afternoon TV game show which is very successful in it's own right, this show takes a winner of the daily heats into a Grand Final at the end of the week. This was aired on Saturday 7th January 2012.

Again it is available at the link for Channel 4 on demand

I really cannot stress the importance of watching this show if you are at all interested in T.V Game shows.

George Lamb

The son of ex Eastenders actor Larry Lamb George has had a radio and T.V career since 2007. BBC Radio 6 music was the highlight so far.He left the station in 2010.

He has since presented a number of programmes on network T.V and has also appeared on a celebrity edition of Million Pound Drop Live with his father in 2010.

George has recently been seen hanging around the corridors of Talk Sport presenting a Sunday evening show. Is there no end to this man's talen? So good was his command of this show I am almost sure it will be his biggest break onto the Gameshow stage in this country. Keep your eyes peeled for this presenter and remember you saw him here first folks.

Play along Online

As well as being able to watch the show live from the Bank in the City of London you could play along Online at the same time. Reported to have 1.7Million people playing along at any one time. This means a lot of hits and potential revenue through advrtising for the television company and other sponsors. Nice money if you can get it.

Although there are no official viewing figures out at the time of publishing I will add this at a later date once the figures are in the public domain.

The Bank Job returns.

On 17th February 2012 The Bank job returned to our screens in a slightly different format. The first series was run over 7 nights whereas this series of The Bank Job will run Fridays and Saturdays for 5 weeks.

There is a twist during the heats where the makers have added in another box which contains BANKRUPT. So each player could easily lose all of their money. This means that they have to start from scratch and risk going out of the game altogether.

The Bank Job is still an exciting format and will go on from strength to strength.

Still employing good looking young people as the contestants, I would suggest to the T.V company, Channel 4, that they should do an oldies version with people in the over 40's age group. A spin off from the original format I am sure would still be a great hit also.

The Bank Job makers, please take note!

poshcoffeeco's First Hub of 30 and The 30 Day Hub Challenge

Thanks for reading Article 1

In this the first of 30 at least in the 30 Day Hub Challenge.

I am undertaking this challenge to test myself and my commitment to the task of writing to a strict deadline.

I know it will be tough and a great challenge. I am looking forward to the end of the challenge and the celebratory dram of Whisky. It is my intention not to take a drop until the job is complete. Will it be the start of something big, I certainly hope so?

What will life be like at the end of the challenge, I wonder, or could it be possible to enjoy it so much that I go on to complete 50 or 100 hubs consecutively? You will just have to come along for the ride and see won't you?

Not alone in this challenge I have a Hub Partner in Ardie Paul http://ardie.hubpages.com/ who has thrown down the gauntlet and has since roped in another unsuspecting Hubber in the form of http://haunty.hubpages.com/

Good luck to the both of you and I look forward to reading your Hubs EVERYDAY!

See you on the other side.
